Coach K brings over 20 years of experience in government, project management, social media, and equity leadership, helping organizations and individuals achieve meaningful, lasting change. She leads with compassion, believing that true success comes from caring deeply about the people she serves.
Originally from Decatur, GA, Coach K earned her degree in Government & Politics and has held significant leadership roles, including Salt Lake City’s first Chief Equity Officer. There, she lead groundbreaking racial equity initiatives, secured funding for language access and refugee programs, and advanced human rights policies.
Coach K made history as the first Black woman to run for West Valley City Council and was instrumental in the campaign to remove slavery language from Utah’s Constitution. She is a published author, holds certifications in equity and inclusion, and has received numerous awards recognizing her impact and service.
