Kaletta Lynch is a powerful and positive force to be reckoned with. She is la poet, mother of two beautiful daughters, wife, public servant, community activist, project manager, and the first Chief Equity Officer for the Salt Lake City Mayor's Office. Kaletta is a native of Decatur, GA. She attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. Due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina during her senior year, Kaletta transferred to the University of Maryland in College Park, MD and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics. She is passionate about empowering people to live their best life and to be successful doing it.
Kaletta served in the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, 2016-2019, as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff. In 2019, she worked as the Executive Assistant for the Director of Community & Neighborhoods. Under Mayor Mendenhall’s leadership, Kaletta returned to the Mayor’s Office to serve as the Special Projects Manager in charge of the Racial Equity in Policing Commission, internship program, bill tracking legislative process, and ACE (Arts, Culture, and Events) fund. In addition to this, Kaletta has over 15 years of experience as a former federal background investigator, legislative executive assistant, contract agent, and intergovernmental liaison.
As the first Black woman to run for office in West Valley City, Kaletta garnered a lot of the community’s support during her grassroots campaign. After her campaign ended, Kaletta was inspired to start K Consulting Services in order to , use her gifts, experience, talents, and expertise to push her clients towards excellence. She believes that GREATNESS IS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS and would like to help clients maximize their potential to achieve their goals. Kaletta specializes in time management and organization techniques, resume building, social media branding, building website content & layouts, life coaching, and image management.
In 2020, Kaletta received the Community Servant Award from the Iota Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc and the Sister Called to Serve Award from the Greater Salt Lake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Kaletta is an active member of the YWCA Utah (Board Member & former Chair of the Young Women’s Council), Greater Salt Lake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta (Corresponding Secretary, Technology Chair, & Chair of the Social Action Committee), Salt Lake Branch of the NAACP, and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
